GOA IN THE 2012 STATE ELECTION

In the last election to the state legislature in Goa, the BJP (Bharatiya Janta Party) got a majority with 21 out of 40 seats. It got most of South Goa and parts of North Goa too. The INC (Indian National Congress) got nine out of 40 seats, winning in South Goa too (in the region of Quepem, for example) and in North Goa (in the regions of Tiswadi and Satari).
